How the IPO Data Snapshot works

Subscription shows how many times the shares on offer were bid for. While bidding is open you see the running total for the latest day; after it closes you see the final total with the QIB, NII and retail categories where reported.

GMP is the unofficial grey market premium, shown with the time it was recorded. It is not an exchange price and is hidden once the shares list, when the real market price is available.

Issue structure splits the issue size into the fresh issue (new shares, money goes to the company) and the offer for sale (existing holders sell, money goes to them). For valuation, use the P/E Ratio and Fair Value Estimator calculators. Nothing on this page is a recommendation.

What does the IPO data snapshot show?
An IPO's reported subscription multiples, its latest grey market premium with a timestamp, and its issue structure: issue size, fresh issue and offer for sale. It shows data only and gives no rating or recommendation.
Where do the subscription figures come from?
They are the category-wise subscription multiples reported for the issue on NSE and BSE, the same figures shown on the IPO's own page. During bidding they update through the day; after close they show the final total.
Why is the GMP marked unofficial?
The grey market is an informal, unregulated market. GMP is not an exchange price, can change quickly, and the actual listing price can differ from it. The snapshot shows when the quote was recorded so you can judge how current it is.
Why is some data missing for an IPO?
Subscription figures exist only once bidding opens, GMP quotes are not available for every issue, and some issues have no fresh-issue or OFS split on file. Missing items are left out rather than estimated.
