Frequently Asked Questions

What time do IPOs list on NSE and BSE?

IPOs list at 10:00 AM IST on their listing date on both NSE and BSE. Pre-open session runs from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM where price discovery happens.

How is expected listing price calculated?

Expected listing price = Issue Price + GMP (Grey Market Premium). For example, if issue price is ₹100 and GMP is ₹25, expected listing is ₹125. This is indicative only — actual price depends on market demand.

What happens on IPO listing day?

On listing day, shares enter pre-open session (9-10 AM) for price discovery. At 10 AM, regular trading begins. You can sell shares immediately after listing if you received allotment.

How long should I hold IPO shares after listing?

Depends on listing gain and company fundamentals. Many investors sell on listing day to book gains. Long-term investors hold based on company growth prospects.

Disclaimer: Expected listing price is calculated as issue price plus latest GMP and is not a guarantee of the actual listing day price. GMP is unofficial data and is not endorsed by SEBI, NSE, or BSE.
